Dangerous Waters is a submarine simulation game developed by Sonalysts Combat Simulations and distributed by publisher Strategy First
This is a continuing naval simulator series started by Sonalysts Combat Simulations with the 688i Hunter Killer.
This amazing simulation video-game brings various playable ships, including nuclear submarines such as the Los Angeles-class, Akula-class, and Seawolf-class, and also the Kilo-class diesel submarine. In addition, Dangerous Waters presents several non-submersible platforms which include the Perry-class frigate, the SH-60 Seahawk helicopter, and the P-3 Orion patrol aircraft. In the campaign mode players are allowed to control the United States, Russian Loyalists, Russian Rebels, or China parties.
Graphics and sound
The visual section is the least important of Dangerous Waters, I must clarify that not to be wonderful does not mean it is bad, just not shocking visual effects. The 3D modeling of the different aircraft, ships, submarines or helicopters represented in Dangerous Waters is correct, either they are controlled by the computer or by us.
The sound does have a high level and it is very important, because if we use hydrophones to detect sounds and learn that there is something out there, you must have a good ear and this simulator faithfully reproduces those sounds.
In conclusion, if you like submarines, this game is a must for you.
Pros
- Technically amazing
Cons
- Rather difficult gameplay
